Overview:
The 1st Armored Division had crossed the Cecina River and was pursuing the retreating 26th Panzer Division. Task Force Cole was assigned the mission of clearing the hilltop village of Montiguidi. Arriving ten minutes ahead of the infantry, Cole's armor attempted to suppress heavy enemy fire but had limited success. A sharp engagement followed once the American infantry attacked along a covered route.Attacker: American (Task Force Cole, 1st Armored Division)

The forward victory buildings are on a hill out of sight of the attackers and the rear building has a great view of most of the approaches to it. It is tough for the attackers to achieve victory in the five turns available to them, particularly against a strong defence like Rich put up. I never really felt that I was threatening to win here and Rich did a great job of keeping the attackers at bay. | ||
